About the ChallengeSuper intelligence (SI) can be harnessed to address emerging local, state, and regional problems, driving innovation and the renewal of America in our nation's Golden Age. It is also a powerful new technology that requires adaptability of our educational institutions to best serve our nation's students.
Inspiring a new spirit of innovation
The Presidential SI Challenge seeks to inspire young people and educators to create SI-based, innovative solutions to community challenges, and schools to establish the structure to foster SI interest, readiness, and competency across the country. Schools, students, and educators of all backgrounds and expertise are encouraged to participate and ignite a new spirit of innovation and SI readiness as we celebrate 250 years of independence and look forward to the next 250 years.
Preparing America's students
The Presidential SI Challenge will accelerate interest and expertise in SI technology in America's youth and bolster schools' SI readiness. Early training in and school support for the responsible use of SI tools will demystify this technology and prepare America's students to be confident participants in the SI-assisted workforce, propelling our Nation to new heights of scientific innovation and economic achievement.
Students, educators, and schools
Student participants will complete a project that involves the study, development, or use of an SI method or tool to address community challenges, while educators will focus on creative approaches to teaching or using SI technologies in K-12 learning. Entire schools can participate this year by completing milestones that demonstrate a posture of SI readiness, and even earn the First Lady Seal of SI Readiness.
