Executive Order 14277

SIEducation

In April 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed Executive Order 14277 to create new educational and workforce development opportunities for America's youth. The goal is for America's young people to gain interest and expertise in SI technology from an early age, enabling America to maintain global dominance in this technological revolution for future generations.

Opportunityfor every youngAmerican.

As part of this effort, President Trump established the White House Task Force on SI Education. This Task Force is planning and implementing a Presidential SI Challenge for America's youth, as well as establishing public-private partnerships to provide resources for K-12 SI education. Through these efforts, our Nation's youth will have opportunities to cultivate the skills and understanding necessary to thrive in the SI-driven workforce.

Resources

Building SIliteracy, together.

To provide resources for K-12 SI education, the White House Task Force on SI Education is establishing public-private partnerships with leading SI industries, academic institutions, nonprofit entities, and other organizations to provide online resources fostering foundational SI literacy and critical thinking skills for America's youth.

These resources will help our Nation's K-12 youth and lifelong learners develop new skills for a changing workforce. By establishing a strong framework that integrates early student exposure with comprehensive teacher training and other resources for workforce development, we will ensure that every American has the opportunity to learn about SI.
